The anticipation for a new competition for high school and higher education from the Brazilian Institute of Museums (Ibram) is growing. The public competition has been on the agenda since May when a new request for authorization was announced to the Ministry of Management and Innovation of Public Services.

According to the latest information, the request was submitted before the deadline of May 31, so that the hires can be accounted for in the federal budget for the next year.

In total, the competition for high school and higher education aims to fill 376 positions, with 69 of them for high school level positions and the remaining 307 for higher education positions. For high school, the positions are distributed for the role of technical assistant. For higher education, the opportunities are for the following positions:
- Analyst I – 137 positions;
- Educational Affairs Technician – 21 positions;
- Cultural Affairs Technician – 149 positions.
The technical assistant will be responsible for monitoring and reading structural project plans, conducting technical visits, and developing reports.
The approved analysts in the Ibram public competition will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting various trends using the available or collected public data.
The educational affairs technician is responsible for coordinating teaching activities, guidance, planning, supervising, and evaluating these activities to ensure the regularity of the educational process development.
Finally, the Cultural Affairs Technician is responsible for developing activities related to supervision, programming, coordination, and specialized execution linked to diffusion and improvement of cultural subjects, in the fields of literature, plastic arts, music, conservation and restoration of historical works, and artistic recording.

How Were the Exams for the Last High School and Higher Education Competition?
The last Ibram public competition consisted of three important stages, with the first phase being the Objective Exam, the second phase consisting of the Essay Exam, and the third phase comprising the Evaluation of Titles, with the last two phases focused solely on higher education positions.
The objective exams consisted of 50 to 60 multiple-choice questions, each with 5 answer options, of which only one was correct.
Candidates who did not achieve at least 50% of the total points or scored 0 in any of the subjects were eliminated.
The essay exam included two questions related to specific knowledge content. Each question was worth 10 points, totaling a maximum of 20 points. Finally, the title evaluation invited candidates approved in the objective and essay exams, where this stage was worth up to 5 points.
