Compact Electric SUV Model Offers Space, Range, Cutting-Edge Technology, and Sustainability for the Global Market
Kia recently revealed its latest electric SUV, the Kia EV3, which arrives with an impressive range of 600 km, becoming the entry-level option for the South Korean manufacturer in the electric vehicle segment. With design inspired by the EV9, the model promises to offer a combination of generous interior space, cutting-edge technologies, and sustainability, according to AutoEsporte.
Dimensions and Interior Space of the Electric SUV
With 4.30 meters in length, 1.85 m in width, 1.56 m in height, and a wheelbase of 2.68 m, the Kia EV3 is similar in size to the Volkswagen Taos. The compact SUV offers a trunk with capacity of 460 liters, surpassing the Nissan Kicks, and reaches up to 1,200 liters with the rear seats folded down, providing flexibility for various cargo needs.
Futuristic Design of the Kia EV3 Electric SUV
The design of the Kia EV3 is one of its main attractions. The boxy body and futuristic elements resemble the design of the EV9, Kia’s flagship. At the rear, the taillights have an innovative shape, extending into the trunk lid and tapering down toward the bumper, complemented by a sloping rear window and a discreet spoiler.

Minimalist and Sustainable Interior
Inside, the Kia EV3 features a minimalist style, with few physical buttons. Most commands are accessed through the 12.3-inch multimedia center. The steering wheel also integrates controls for driving mode, cruise control, as well as entertainment and navigation.
Another highlight is a sliding table that can be used to support a laptop while the car is parked. The materials used in the interior are sustainable and recyclable, including easily recyclable plastics found in the seats, headliner, door armrests, mats, and cargo area.
Performance and Range
Built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the Kia EV3 is equipped with a 204 hp electric motor. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 170 km/h.
There are two battery options available: one with 58.3 kWh in the Standard version and another with 81.4 kWh in the Long Range version. While the latter provides the impressive range of 600 km on the WLTP cycle. However, Kia also guarantees fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes.
Equipment and Safety
However, the Kia EV3 comes well-equipped as standard, with assist systems to prevent front collisions, lane keeping, highway driving, and parking collision avoidance. The SUV also includes the i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking technology, which allows the driver to operate using just one pedal.
Launch and Availability
The first appearance of the Kia EV3 is scheduled for July 2024 in South Korea. In the second half, the SUV will start being sold in Europe. There is still no information on the vehicle’s arrival in the Brazilian market, but expectations are high given the increasing interest in EVs in the country.

With its debut set for soon, the model has everything to become a success among consumers looking for a sustainable and efficient vehicle.
