The Protocol for the Construction of the Wind Farm Was Signed Yesterday (27/04) by the Government of Paraíba and the Company EDF Renewables
The new wind farm in Paraíba may begin construction in July, creating numerous job vacancies for the project’s works. The state government signed a protocol of interactions with the company EDF Renewables yesterday, Tuesday (27/04) – a company operating in the renewable energy segment.

Construction of the Wind Farm and Job Creation
The project envisions the construction of the wind farm in the municipalities of Santa Luzia and Junco do Seridó, located in the Sertão of Paraíba. The expectation is that the project will generate over 600 jobs directly and indirectly, with investments of about R$ 1 billion, says the government of Paraíba.
With the construction of the wind farm, the project will be the first of EDF Renewables in the state of Paraíba. The new wind farm may begin commercial operation in early 2023 and may have an installed capacity of 242 MW.

Construction of the Project and the Development of the Region in Paraíba
Paulo Abranches, CEO of EDF Renewables, stated that the investments made in the construction of the wind farm in Paraíba will create positive impacts for socioeconomic development – such as job and income generation – for the state region.
For Governor João Azevêdo, the state of Paraíba has great potential for electricity generation through wind farms and, according to João, the state can become an attraction for companies in the sector, generating income and many job opportunities, thereby promoting the development of regions and boosting economies.

Wind Farm in Rio Grande do Norte Receives Financing of R$ 252 Million
2W Energia, one of the largest investment platforms in electricity sales projects and renewable energy generation in Brazil, signed a financing contract with the investment manager Darby International Capital. Under the agreement, US$ 45 million will be invested in the Anemus Wind Farm in Rio Grande do Norte, along with other investments focused on the company in the coming years.
The majority of the funds will be allocated to the CAPEX investment of the Anemus project, a wind farm with 33 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 138.6 MW. The clean and renewable energy generated by the complex will primarily be sent to 2W’s retail sector clients, composed of small and medium-sized companies eager to transition to a free energy market.
