Contract Between the State Company and Saipem and DSME
In a statement, Petrobras stated that the supply of the FPSO will be the result of contracting in the EPC modality (engineering, procurement, and construction) and the state company’s strategy to develop new projects for its own platforms, incorporating lessons learned from the FPSOs already installed in the pre-salt, including aspects of contracting and construction.
The contract provides for compliance with a local content requirement of 25%, as stipulated in the tender and committed to the ANP for the Búzios field. The FPSO P-79 will be the third unit contracted for production in Búzios following the bidding for the volume of excess from the onerous cession.
