New LCL service promises to speed up imports from Eastern Europe to Brazil
Craft, a Brazilian multinational logistics company, announced the launch of a new exclusive LCL (Less Container Load) import service for the Port of Santos, responding to the new demands of the automotive industry. With automakers migrating from Germany to Eastern Europe, the company aims to facilitate the transport of inputs such as parts, materials and equipment, capitalizing on the competitive advantages offered by countries in the region.
The expansion of the automotive industry in Eastern Europe
The movement of automakers to countries like Romania and Bulgaria, driven by lower labor costs and tax incentives, reflects a trend seen since the early 2000s. This shift not only reduces production costs but also puts companies more close to new markets and consumers, strengthening its global presence. Among the major brands, Daimler, Volkswagen, Ford and Renault are just a few that have established significant operations in Romania, taking advantage of the favorable environment for growth.
Launch of the new LCL service
Craft's new service connects the Port of Koper, in Slovenia, with the Port of Santos, featuring a fortnightly frequency and a transit time of 21 days. This service is an expansion of the existing one from Prague to Santos, now covering additional countries such as Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece, as well as emphasizing the importance of Romania as a central hub on this new route.
Investments in infrastructure and economic growth
The context of growing investments in transport infrastructure in Brazil, including the significant investments in the Port of Santos, has been crucial to Craft's ability to offer innovative and efficient services. The investments announced by the Ministry of Ports and Airports guarantee continuous improvements in the sector, with the Port of Santos receiving the largest volume of investments, totaling R$10,64 billion by 2028.
These developments, together with the economic growth of Brazil, which recently returned to being among the ten largest economies in the world, position Craft as a strategic and reliable logistics partner. The company, with a network of 1100 experts and 100 direct shipping routes for import LCL, as well as exclusive services, highlights its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction in a dynamic global market.
Conclusion
With this new LCL route from Eastern Europe to the Port of Santos, Craft not only meets the emerging needs of an evolving sector, but also reinforces its position as a leader in innovative logistics solutions. Through expanding services and continually empowering its team, Craft continues to adapt and thrive in the competitive global logistics market.
