Toyo Setal to Build New S-10 Diesel Production Unit at Replan
Joined in a consortium, Toyo Setal and Toyo Engineering Corporation won the bidding for the construction of a diesel hydrotreater (HDT) unit and revamping of existing units at the Paulínia Refinery (Replan) – the largest in Brazil by processing capacity. With this project, all diesel production from this refinery will be of the S-10 type, which has a lower sulfur content than the S-500 diesel, which will no longer be produced.
The contract was signed on May 9th, and since then, the teams from the Toyo Setal HDT Paulínia Consortium have already begun developing the work, which has a delivery period of 40 months.
The scope of the contract includes the supply of goods and provision of services related to the preparation of the executive project, construction, assembly and disassembly, revamping, commissioning, support for pre-operation and start-up, assisted operation, and supply of goods for the HDT 4 project.
“The contract is on an EPC basis. We are already starting the acquisition of the main equipment and in the initial phase of mobilization. The project is expected to generate approximately 1,300 direct jobs,” emphasizes Carlos Stampa, business development manager at Toyo Setal.
