Civil Defense Releases Updated List with 51 Streets Under Preventive Evacuation Guidance in Juiz de Fora After Instability Identified in Urban Areas
The city of Juiz de Fora, in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, entered a state of alert after the Municipal Civil Defense released an updated list of streets with preventive evacuation guidance. In total, 51 streets were included in the survey, released at 11 PM last Saturday (28).
The evacuation recommendation is preventive and was made after the identification of instability in some streets of the city, a situation that may pose a risk to residents. This measure is part of the safety protocol adopted during periods of geological or climatic risk, when there is a possibility of landslides, soil movement, or structural compromise of the roads.
The information was released by the “Tribuna de Minas”, which published the updated list provided by the municipal Civil Defense. According to the agency, the aim is to ensure the safety of the population and avoid accidents, guiding residents to leave areas considered vulnerable until the situation is assessed and stabilized.
