The Renowned Textile Company Expands Its ESG Commitments, Aiming to Increase Recycling Rates in Brazil.
Collaboration for the Environment
With a legacy established as one of the leaders and most eco-friendly textile industries in Latin America, Döhler is now taking a step forward in its sustainable efforts. The textile giant, located in Joinville (SC), has just formed a strategic partnership with eureciclo, focused on reverse logistics through environmental compensation. This initiative ensures that the generated packaging is properly disposed of, mirroring the materials that the brand produces.
This translates into concrete actions: Döhler commits to compensating for 22% of all materials such as paper, cardboard, and plastic distributed across the country. The goal? To ensure that an equivalent volume is reintegrated into the production chain.

The Process: How Does It Work?
The sorting centers play a fundamental role. They collect, classify, and separate the waste, which is then sold to a final recycling entity. By doing this, an invoice is issued, demonstrating that the materials, aligned with Döhler’s, had a correct disposal.
eureciclo, in turn, is responsible for monitoring these invoices, ensuring that the agents involved in collection and sorting are properly compensated. This system, driven by the alliance between Döhler and eureciclo, serves as a catalyst to raise recycling rates in the country.
Marco Aurélio Braga, responsible for Communication and Marketing at Döhler, comments: “This achievement reflects our continuous commitment to the health of our planet. Furthermore, it aligns with the eco-friendly practices we already have in place, including minimizing water consumption, managing effluents, and launching sustainable products, such as curtains made from PET bottles.”
