Classes are conducted online, but there are on-site support centers in various cities in Minas Gerais, including Andrelândia, Bicas, Boa Esperança, Cataguases, and Lagoa Santa.

Registrations, which began on February 10, 2025, must be made exclusively through the General Coordination of Selection Processes (COPESE) website of UFJF.
The process is simple and entirely online, ensuring convenience for applicants.
The registration fee is R$ 150.00; however, there is a possibility of exemption for candidates registered in the Unified Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) or who have completed high school as full scholarship students in private schools.

The Selection Process Is Directed to Two Main Audiences:
- General Public
Candidates who have completed high school and wish to enter higher education.
The selection will be based on the average scores in Portuguese Language and Mathematics in the high school transcript.
In case of a tie, the tiebreaker criteria include the highest score in Portuguese Language, followed by the highest score in Mathematics, and finally the candidate’s age.
- Public School Teachers
Professionals currently working who do not have a higher education degree or who are working outside their area of training.
It is necessary to prove an active link with the public education system and be registered on the Freire Platform. For this group, the selection criterion will be the length of service, with age serving as a tiebreaker.
In addition, UFJF reserves 50% of the spots for affirmative action policies, benefiting self-declared black, brown, indigenous, quilombola candidates, people with disabilities, and those who completed high school entirely in public schools.
This initiative aims to promote inclusion and diversity in the academic environment, offering opportunities for groups historically underrepresented in higher education.
