The most recent phase of this qualification initiative trained 19 residents from communities in the municipality, located in Western Pará, through the NR-10 course, which focuses on safety in installations and services with electricity. At the end of the training, participants received certificates that function as a ‘quality seal‘, helping them in the search for better job and salary opportunities.
Testimonials from Participants
One of the beneficiaries, Josane da Silva Tavares, 31, celebrated the enriching experience. ‘I gained a lot of valuable knowledge in this course, which will be fundamental for my career. This course was a turning point for my mindset, and I can only thank MRN, because many times we do not have the financial means to invest in a professional training like this’, she mentioned.
Another student, Isabel Crystina Silva, highlighted the relevance of the course for local residents. ‘The course was extremely relevant for all of us seeking to enter the job market. Without a doubt, we will make the most of what was taught during the classes’, she stated.
Commitment to the Communities
According to Elessandra Corrêa, community relations analyst at MRN, this professional qualification represents yet another commitment of the company to the communities, promoting professional training. ‘Education is a promising initiative, and the company recognizes vocational courses as a powerful tool for qualification and strengthening local communities.
We are offering concrete opportunities for personal growth and socioeconomic progress. MRN is committed to investing in skill and knowledge development, leaving a legacy of social inclusion for everyone in the region’, Elessandra declared.
Transforming the Future
Through the Education Project in the Amazon, MRN also promotes basic education and professional qualification in various locations. Established in 2022, the initiative offers courses in the areas of Educational Advancement, Professional Qualification, and Open Courses, creating job openings for participants.
The communities of Lago do Ajudante, Abuí, Serrinha, and Boa Vista, which belong to the municipality of Oriximiná, as well as rural communities in Faro and Terra Santa, are among the beneficiaries. Since the beginning of the project until the end of last year, a total of 368 students participated in the program, distributed across 28 classes and totaling 4,720 hours of coursework.
