Elon Musk announced the development of a new electric motor manufactured by Tesla that can be considered an innovation in the automotive industry. The propulsion system will be lighter, more powerful, and still safe.

Elon Musk recently presented the new electric motor from Tesla, which promises to be nearly perfect and deliver even better performance to the automotive industry compared to the current motors from the manufacturer. Additionally, Elon Musk states that Tesla has big plans for this year, with even greater strategies than those before.

Tesla Electric Motor May Be Wrapped in Carbon

With Elon Musk’s recent development, strategies are becoming even more innovative. The billionaire revealed the next electric motor from Tesla for the automotive industry, covered in carbon and featuring a higher RPM index.

The new propulsion system, which is expected to be installed in the Tesla Roadster, was developed by the company internally as part of the motor update announced in October of last year. According to Elon Musk, the arrival of a new printed electric motor would significantly reduce the complexity of the powertrain, enhancing efficiency and performance.

On his social media, Elon Musk stated that the company intends to bring the new electric motor to the Tesla Roadster Source/Twitter

The executive also added that the new motor arriving soon in the automotive industry is so good that Tesla could replace its current lineup with vehicles equipped with cutting-edge electric motors without making any changes.

During a press conference, Elon Musk summarized the electric motor in just a few words, “indestructible,” and stated that he expects to set a world record with its launch.

Tesla Launches Project Known as Plate Motor that Promises to Convert Any Car into Electric

Elon Musk commented on Tesla’s most recent project, called “Plate Motor,” as mentioned in a recent Tweet, where the businessman states that the design of the electric motor is not based on traditional automotive industry concepts but rather on the technology that adds a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

The Tesla executive claims that the new propulsion system will be lighter, more compact, and cheaper than the aluminum-based electric motors developed by the company.

The executive’s goal is to develop the Plate Motor in a scalable size that can work in any electric car. The electric motor, which functions like a plate, can be installed in various Tesla vehicles, including its second-generation model E, which could be produced by the end of 2022; however, the manufacturer must first finish its third vehicle.

Tesla Model S and X May Receive New High-Capacity Batteries

During a conference call with investors, Elon Musk commented on the availability of new capacity batteries for the X and S models. However, during the presentation of the X model, the executive did not comment on the specifics of Tesla’s batteries in his speech but stated that the company will bring news next year.

Instead, he focused on announcing a new air suspension system developed by Holden, Tesla’s partner. When it comes to Tesla’s future, the focus is almost always on the new generation of vehicles; however, the company is also focusing on revenue, considering that these models are the most sought after in the automotive industry.

Currently, many people are turning to electric vehicles, both to help the environment and to save money, without having to worry about buying gasoline.
