The Mission of the Southeast Regional Forum Is to Encourage Distributed Production of Micro and Minigeneration in That Region.
The date for the 17th Annual Regional Forum on Distributed Generation (Forum GD) has already been set. On March 1 and 2, 2023, in Vitória, Espírito Santo, the fair will be held, focusing exclusively on the manufacturing of micro and minigeneration of energy in Brazil.
The main objective of the forum, promoted by the Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation (ABGD) and organized by Grupo FRG Mídias & Eventos, is to bring together the production chain of the Distributed Generation sector with Renewable Sources in the Southeast region and discuss important issues related to the sector, including business opportunities, regulatory barriers, legal impediments, innovative technologies, financing, training, and growth prospects, as was the case at the Forum GD – Southern Region in 2022.
Photovoltaic solar energy and renewable source DG will be important discussion topics during the Forum GD, according to Tiago Fraga, CEO of Grupo FRG Mídias & Eventos.

Mature Fields Take Center Stage and Are Expected to Generate New Opportunities in the Oil and Gas Sector
According to Fraga, the most significant challenges expected to be faced and the promising prospects for the future of photovoltaic solar energy and renewable DG sources will be highlighted, facilitating the dissemination of information, the display of live presentations and films, and the participation and involvement of all stakeholders. The key points of the event, according to Fraga, are networking opportunities, creating new connections, and forming new companies.
DG in Espírito Santo
However, the state of Espírito Santo was chosen to host the seventeenth edition of the Forum GD – Southeast Region due to its potential in energy generation. Among the twenty states in Brazil, Espírito Santo has the highest distributed generation (DG) capacity of solar energy installations, with 296.1 MW.
Although these numbers are lower than those of other benchmark states like Minas Gerais and São Paulo, which have already surpassed 1 GW, the prospects are quite positive for Espírito Santo, viewed by sector institutions as one of the main hubs for the advancement of photovoltaic solar energy in the country.
