Petrobras Opened Applications Today (05/24) for Job Opportunities for Young Apprentices in Various Locations in Brazil

Petrobras opened 335 job positions this morning (05/24) for inexperienced professionals in its young apprentice program. The opportunities for inexperienced candidates offered by the state-owned company operating in the oil, natural gas, and energy industry are intended for the states of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, as well as the Federal District. About Petrobras’ Young Apprentice Program

Petrobras’ young apprentice program will offer selected candidates vocational courses in the fields of logistics assistant, quality inspection operator, administrative assistant, IT support technician, maintenance mechanic, building mason, and plumbing technician.

Those approved in Petrobras’ recruitment and selection process for the young apprentice program will work 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday, for a period of one year, and will be entitled to a minimum wage and other benefits, such as a 13th salary, vacation, transportation voucher, and an optional supplemental pension plan.

Selected candidates for the young apprentice positions will receive training classes, engage in professional practice activities at the National Service for Industrial Learning (Senai), and will also participate in technical visits to Petrobras facilities. Thus, the program will promote the social inclusion of apprentices through professional qualification and contribute to their better integration into the job market.

Requirements to Apply for Opportunities at the State-Owned Company

Candidates interested in Petrobras’ Young Apprentice program must be between 14 (fourteen) and 22 (twenty-two) years and 11 (eleven) months old at the time of admission. The maximum age requirement does not apply to candidates with disabilities. Candidates must provide proof of enrollment and attendance at school if they have not completed high school. In locations where there is no offer of high school, admission of the apprentice may occur without school attendance, provided that the candidate has already completed elementary school. Candidates under 18 (eighteen) years of age must have the assistance of a legal guardian to sign the apprenticeship contract upon admission to Petrobras.
