Manaus, Amazonas, Will Host the First Carbon Forum and the First Environment and Sustainability Forum of the Amazon.

The 1st Environment and Sustainability Forum in the Amazon and the 1st International Low Carbon Society Forum will take place in Brazil on March 14 and 15, respectively, as environmental debate gains increasing importance in the fight against climate change.

Both forums, which will occur simultaneously at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center in Manaus, Amazonas, are organized by the FRG Media & Events Group in partnership with the Integrated Reforestation Institute of the Atlantic Forest (P.R.I.M.A) to discuss topics such as the Amazon’s importance to the global ecosystem, the challenges of deforestation, and the need for society to develop actions aimed at carbon neutrality.

According to Ricardo Harduim, a specialist at the PRIMA Institute, considering the future of Brazilian and global climate change is more crucial than ever in light of the severe climate crisis caused by excessive carbon emissions. He states that the goal of the two forums is to bring together key stakeholders in the sector to discuss the topic at hand and present concrete solutions.

Carbon Neutral Forum, Amazon Sustainability Forum, and Environment Forum: What They Will Do

Scientists, medical professionals, and educational institutions will provide their support over two days to the Environment and Sustainability Forum in the Amazon and the Carbon Neutral Forum, where they will present evidence-based arguments about the importance of preserving the world’s forests and restoring the ecological balance essential for maintaining the quality of life on Earth.

Both conferences will feature a full program of lectures and discussion panels spread over several days, all aimed at providing participants with a solid foundation in sustainability issues, socioeconomic and environmental challenges in the Amazon region, and the various stakeholders involved in seeking creative and technological solutions to these problems.

Carbon offsetting, green businesses, certifications, climate education, public policies, voluntary markets, and carbon regulation are just some of the many initiatives that will be presented as part of a long-term vision for certified carbon offsetting companies.

Keep in mind that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that the planet’s average temperature has increased by 1.2 °C in recent years and that drastic measures are needed to avoid further warming.

Environmental disasters can be avoided if globalization continues. Moreover, deforestation in the Amazon has reached crisis proportions, necessitating discussion on the best way to protect the region.
