A Japanese Company Developed an Air-Conditioned Suit to Mitigate the Impacts of a Heatwave Hitting the Country. The Suit Features a Battery That Can Last Up to 11 Hours.

A Japanese company has developed a rather unusual product. It is an air-conditioned suit to tackle the heatwave. The company, called Kuchofuku, has been trying to help alleviate the stifling heat, energy shortages, and restrictions on energy use, for example.

Kuchofuku Has 1,000 Clients Already Using the Air-Conditioned Suit

The demand for air-conditioned clothing is expanding due to earthquakes and tsunamis, alongside the shutdown of the Fukushima nuclear plant. The heatwave product features a design that incorporates two strategically placed fans embedded in the side lining.

The Japanese company has about 1,000 businesses as clients. These are steel industries, construction companies, and automobile manufacturers. The idea for the air-conditioned suit emerged after the Japanese government set 15% restrictions on energy use to prevent blackouts. The air-conditioned suit is connected to a lithium-ion battery that manufacturers claim can last up to 11 hours.

The air-conditioned suit from Japan is being sold for US$ 140 and is just one part of the company’s cooling products. In addition to this, the company also offers mattresses and cushions featuring a patented plastic mesh system.

Scientists Develop Cooling Film

When it comes to cooling, researchers at the University of Colorado have developed a more affordable alternative: a film that can cool environments without using electricity, mitigating the impacts of a heatwave. Being an alternative.

This film works by filtering solar rays that strike the planet. The atmosphere allows some red wavelengths, which generate heat, to escape into space without any obstruction.

What researchers Yang and Yin did was convert heat into infrared radiation at the exact wavelength that the Earth sends back. In addition to preventing the heatwave from entering the environment, internal heat is also released into the atmosphere.

The cooling power of the device can reach up to 93W per square meter. At night, the film’s capacity is even greater, and according to the developers, just 20 m² of the product would be sufficient to maintain the temperature of a typical house at 20°C.

Mini Air Conditioner Arrives in Brazil

The mini air conditioner produced by the German company “Pro Technology,” which uses only water, is a major differentiator in the market.

To meet the needs, the product has three speeds: low, medium, and high, capable of reducing the temperature by up to 10 degrees, not only cooling the air but also humidifying and purifying it, making breathing easier.

The product features a high-efficiency filter, collecting all the air impurities responsible for allergic reactions. One of the main advantages of the mini air conditioner is its silent system, not disturbing you while working, sleeping, or spending time with friends or family.
