The operations of the Santa Rita Mine are concentrated in the municipality of Itagibá, Bahia, northeastern Brazil, about 370 kilometers from the capital Salvador (BA). The operation is well-located, close to basic infrastructure, including energy, water, and transport, just 6 km from Ipiaú, Bahia, the municipality that supplies most of its workers.

The location is also strategic as it is only 140 kilometers from the Port of Ilhéus, a city in southern Bahia, well-positioned for mineral export.

Mine Operation and Infrastructure Engineer

Activities:

• Daily monitoring of mining and dewatering activities;
• Participation in meetings and alignment of activity priorities in the mine;
• Support Coordination and Management in monitoring activities;
• Execute the mining infrastructure and construction activities;
• Plan and guide the pumping activities of the mine.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering
• Intermediate Office Package;
• Intermediate English preferred;
• Valid Driver’s License B.

Work Safety Coordinator

Activities:

• Coordinate, supervise, and guide the activities of the work safety area
• Coordinate the implementation of the Atlantic Nickel Management System
• Review and develop procedures that meet the management system
• Coordinate the PGR – Risk Management Program.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a postgraduate degree in Work Safety Engineering;
• Field experience in Safety Management in Mining;
• Accident Analysis and Investigation;
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 Management Systems.

PCM Coordinator

Activities:

• Ensure the effectiveness of planning for different maintenance disciplines and the synergy between maintenance activities and complementary production areas;
• Control and promote critical analysis of maintenance indicators aiming to meet production targets;
• Ensure control and supply of materials necessary for routine maintenance with interactive interfaces with other areas;
• Coordinate planning of downtimes, other maintenance coordinations, and client areas regarding the prioritization of routine maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or related areas;
• Six Sigma certification preferred;
• Intermediate English preferred;
• Intermediate Office Package.

Budget and Cost Coordinator

Activities:

• Plan, supervise, and implement definitions and budget assumptions (OPEX and CAPEX), as well as financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow);
• KPIs, definition of the budget cycle;
• Management Reports;
• Action plans and process improvements.

Requirements:

• Degree in: Accounting, Administration, Economics, Engineering;
• Specializations in the area preferred;
• Fluent English;
• Advanced Office skills.

Senior Mining Engineer

Activities:

• Develop quarterly mining plans and annual forecasts;
• Optimization and operationalization of pits;
• Tactical and strategic sequencing 2Y, 5Y, and LOM;
• Operationalize and sequence waste deposits;
• Sizing and equipment selection.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering;
• Experience in short- and medium-term mine planning;
• Knowledge of new technologies;
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred;
• Knowledge of Minesight, Whittle, Deswik, Datamine.
