Atlanta Field in the Santos Basin Surpasses Production of 30 Thousand Barrels Per Day and Enauta Celebrates Technological Solutions
After Winning Blocks in the ANP Auction on September 10, in Partnership with Exxon and Murphy , Enauta had another reason to celebrate.
The company recorded a production record at the Atlanta field in the Santos basin. The asset reached 30,462 barrels of oil per day, and this achievement was even more celebrated given the challenges that required technological solutions for the three wells in the area to produce such volume.
According to the company’s CEO, Lincoln Guardado, “We are very pleased with the production delivery from the three wells close to the maximum processing capacity of the FPSO. This demonstrates Enauta’s commitment to its operational goals and confidence in the operational capacity of the Atlanta Field, which gives us confidence to move forward to the Definitive System.”

Enauta Started Production of Its Third Well in the Atlanta Field, in June 2019. The three wells are part of the Early Production System (“EPS”) that produced the first oil from the field in May 2018. Initial expectations were that the asset would reach a volume of up to 27 thousand barrels per day.
Definitive System
Enauta has not yet decided the processing capacity of the FPSO that will be implemented in the Definitive System of the Atlanta field. Due to the market crisis, the company had to reassess the development plan presented in 2012, when the barrel was around US $ 110 and is now around US $ 60.
The plan was for a definitive system with the capacity to provide 70,000 b/d of oil connected to 12 wells. Now the company is evaluating something between 50,000 b/d and 70,000 b/d.
The production in the next few months of the asset will help Enauta’s management make this decision, and the launch of the offer to contract the FPSO should take place by mid-2020.
