Enauta and the Atlanta Field

Atlanta field, in the Santos Basin, exceeds production of 30 barrels per day and Enauta celebrates technological solutions

After winning, at the ANP auction last September 10, exploratory blocks in consortium with Exxon, and Murphy, Enauta had another reason to celebrate.
The company registered record production in the Atlanta field, in the Santos basin. The asset reached 30.462 barrels of oil per day and the feat was even more celebrated given the challenges that required technological solutions for the three wells in the area to produce such a volume.

According to the company's CEO, Lincoln Guardado, “We are very pleased with the delivery of production from the three wells close to the FPSO's maximum processing capacity. This demonstrates Enauta's commitment to its operational goals and belief in the operational capacity of the Atlanta Field, which gives us confidence to move towards the Definitive System”.

Enauta started production from its third well in the Atlanta Field, in June 2019. The three wells are part of the Early Production System (“EPS”) that produced the first oil from the field in May 2018. Initial expectations were that the asset would reach a volume of up to 27 barrels per day.

Definitive System

Enauta has not yet decided on the processing capacity of the FPSO it will deploy in the Definitive System of the Atlanta field. Due to the market crisis, the company had to reassess the development plan presented in 2012, when the barrel was around US$110 and is now around US$60.
The plan was for a definitive system capable of supplying 70.000 b/d of oil connected to 12 wells. Now the company values somewhere between 50.000 b/d and 70.000 b/d.

The asset's production in the coming months will help Enauta's management to make this decision and the launch of the offer to hire the FPSO should take place by mid-2020.
