The 2024 Stock Car season marked the farewell of the Chevrolet Cruze on the racetracks. Chevrolet announced the end of commercial production of the model in Brazil, consolidating the replacement of the Cruze by the Tracker in competitions, with the necessary adaptations for the new scenario. The departure of Chevrolet’s popular car signifies a new era for the brand in the country, which is now focusing its efforts on the growing SUV market.

The end of Chevrolet’s popular car in the Brazilian automotive market in 2024 coincided with the end of sedans on the tracks.

The Chevrolet car leaves Brazil for the arrival of the Tracker, which will be updated next year. The 2025 line of the compact SUV will receive some tweaks to the engine to comply with the eighth phase of Proconve, and will become more powerful with increased torque to boost competitiveness in the automotive market.
The Chevrolet Tracker 2025 will feature direct fuel injection for both engine configurations, moving away from the multi-point system and fuel preheating. This technology will enable the model to achieve greater power and torque.
Starting next year, the Chevrolet Substitute Cruze will feature a 1.0 turbo flex engine yielding 117 horsepower with gasoline and 121 hp with ethanol, and 18.3 kgfm with gasoline and 18.9 kgfm with ethanol. It will serve the AT, LT, and LTZ configurations. Meanwhile, the RS and Premier versions will have the 1.2 turbo flex delivering 139 hp with gasoline and 141 hp with ethanol, and 22.4 kgfm with gasoline and 22.9 kgfm with ethanol.
