New Technologies in the Energy Sector:
The emergence of new technologies has transformed the energy sector both globally and in Brazil. The country, which has the most obvious reminder of this transition being the distributed energy generation, which was regulated in 2012, allows consumers to start generating their own energy. There is also a set of automation and sensor technologies that are gradually gaining more space in the distribution network.
The global trend is the electrification of public, individual, and freight transport. Companies around the world are developing energy storage systems that can use and store large amounts of energy in homes and businesses.
