Equinor is driving innovation in the North Sea with a project by Nauticus Robotics and Stinger Technology. Strategic partnership aims to improve submarine leak detection and expand technological possibilities in the marine environment.

Equinor announced this Thursday, (31/08), the selection of Nauticus Robotics and Stinger Technology for a pioneering project in the North Sea, aiming to improve the detection of subsea leaks. The partnership aims to demonstrate and validate the effectiveness of Nauticus leak detection technology in autonomous robots, strengthening the submarine operations. The initiative reflects Equinor's commitment to sustainability and the search for innovative solutions.

New Equinor project in the North Sea aims at detecting subsea leaks

Renowned Norwegian energy company Equinor is taking another bold step towards innovation by selecting autonomous robot specialist Nauticus Robotics and Stinger Technology as key partners for a pioneering project in the North Sea.

This strategic collaboration not only expands Equinor's presence in the region, but also promises to open doors for future collaborations with the US state-owned giant.

Equinor has wisely chosen its partners for an extremely important project: improving subsea leak detection.

Nauticus Robotics and Stinger Technology are joining forces to deploy innovative leak detection technology.

This pilot project aims to demonstrate and validate the effectiveness of Nauticus' leak detection technology in autonomous robots, addressing a critical need for safe subsea operations.
