Labor Shortage In Lithuania: European Country Has Hundreds Of Job Openings For Brazilians. Find Out What Is Necessary To Compete For Jobs In Lithuania.

Lithuania is facing a growing labor shortage, making the country an increasingly attractive destination for Brazilian professionals seeking a better quality of life, competitive salaries, and a welcoming environment. However, available positions in Lithuania are concentrated in specific areas and require qualifications, which makes it essential to understand the local market before applying. In this article, you will discover which sectors are thriving and how to seize this international opportunity.

Which Sector Is Growing And Offering Jobs In Lithuania For Brazilians?

According to international career expert and founder of the Global Career Summit, Leandro Baptista, he visited the country in September of this year and spoke with Brazilians who moved to the European country, which currently has over 2 million inhabitants. Unlike traditional destinations that have become saturated, such as Portugal, job openings in Lithuania offer an environment of open doors.

The labor shortage in Lithuania for certain professionals is linked to the sector that is driving the country’s economy. Last year, Lithuania’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was around 73.7 billion euros, mainly driven by the services sector, with an emphasis on job openings in the information technology and finance sectors (investments and accounting).

It is for these areas that the country seeks to attract Brazilians, especially when the education involves technology to meet the growing demand from companies that have established themselves there. Major names like Google, Nord Security, Vinted, Hostinger, and Wix are already operating in the country but face a labor shortage in Lithuania.

What Is Necessary To Fill The Jobs In Lithuania?

With this labor shortage scenario in Lithuania, there is a high demand for professionals with experience in computer science, software engineering, data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Tech professionals are the most sought after.

Another requirement for job openings involves communication. The local language is Lithuanian, but English is commonly taught in schools, and therefore, most of the population speaks English.

To work in jobs in Lithuania, it is necessary to have at least intermediate-level English, as it is widely used in both companies and daily life. In addition to the demand for technology-focused education and English language skills, the country is looking for more experienced professionals, according to the expert.

Currently, the labor shortage in Lithuania seeks professionals with full and senior experience, usually five years or more in their areas of expertise.

With this list of recommendations, the country aims to offer salaries that stand out in Europe. The average salary in the country for these professionals is 4,500 euros. This is a salary well above the typical offers in other European destinations. The cost of living, although higher than in Brazil, is offset by the structure and benefits offered.

How To Compete For Job Openings?

To attract and retain the best professionals for jobs in Lithuania, the government is investing in various programs. To facilitate the adaptation of foreigners, the country has initiatives such as the International House of Business, which provides free consulting to answer questions and assist with documentation and integration.

For those interested in job openings, the Work In Lithuania website is the main platform for those wishing to explore job vacancies in Lithuania. There, Brazilians find opportunities with support for professionals from abroad, including the entire visa and relocation process, managed by local companies and institutions.
