With Powerful Processor And Super-Fast RAM, The New Acer Aspire 5 Stands Out For Its Performance, But Its Screen And Battery Require Attention When Buying.
Finding the best laptop for up to R$ 3,000 is a difficult task, but one model stands out in 2025 for offering performance well above its competitors: the Acer Aspire 5. The new version of Acer’s popular laptop has hit the market with a processor and memory configuration that makes it the strongest option in this price range.
According to reviews, the big advantage of this laptop is its power, capable of handling heavy tasks and even some games. However, to reach such a competitive price, Acer had to make some sacrifices, mainly in screen quality and battery life.
What Is The Acer Aspire 5 2025? The New Version Of The Popular Laptop
The Acer Aspire 5 (model 15) is the update of one of the most popular laptop lines in Brazil. It positions itself as a cost-effective device, but with a significant advantage over rivals like the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 and Asus Vivobook Go: its performance.
-
After decades of failed attempts, Brazil is once again looking to space with an orbital rocket measuring 12 meters, weighing 12 tons, costing R$ 189 million, and scheduled for launch in 2026, in a new race to finally achieve autonomous access to orbit.
-
The Earth will plunge into a few minutes of darkness in broad daylight in August 2026, when a total solar eclipse transforms the sky into one of the most impressive astronomical phenomena in recent years.
-
How the terraforming of Mars can transform the planet: artificial aerosols can increase the temperature by up to 35°C in 15 years, creating conditions for liquid water.
-
Scientists drilled nearly 8,000 meters into the ocean floor above the fault that caused the 2011 tsunami in Japan and discovered that a layer of clay 130 million years old was responsible for making the wave much worse than any model had predicted.
With a price ranging from R$ 2,800 to R$ 3,000, it is the choice for those seeking maximum power without spending too much.
The Strong Point: The Surprising Performance Of The I5 Processor With DDR5 Memory

The heart of this laptop is what makes it so special. It comes equipped with the Intel Core i5-13420H processor. The letter “H” at the end indicates that it is a high-performance chip, far superior to the “U” series processors that equip most of its competitors.
In addition, it features 8 GB of DDR5 RAM, which is extremely fast. The combination of these two components results in a machine that does not freeze when opening many tabs in the browser and can even run heavier games such as Fortnite and Elden Ring on lower settings.
The Big Weakness: The TN Screen And Battery That Leaves Something To Be Desired
To deliver such performance at a low price, Acer had to make concessions. The main one lies in the screen.
- TN Screen: The Aspire 5 panel uses TN technology, which is older and inferior to IPS. This means that the viewing angle is limited (colors distort if you do not look at the screen head-on) and color reproduction is less vibrant.
- Battery: The battery life is also a negative point. Under basic use, it lasts around 4 hours, which requires the charger to be nearby most of the time.
Construction And Connections: What Else Does It Offer?
The construction of the laptop is entirely plastic, but of good quality, not feeling fragile. The keyboard is full-sized, with a numeric keypad, and the trackpad is large and firm.
One of the major positive highlights is the connectivity. In addition to USB-A and HDMI ports, it comes with a USB-C port with Thunderbolt 4 technology. This type of connection is extremely fast and allows you to charge the laptop, transfer data, and connect up to two external monitors with a single cable, a rare feature in devices in this price range.
For Whom Is This Laptop Worth It?
The Acer Aspire 5 2025 is undoubtedly the laptop with the most power you can buy for up to R$ 3,000. It is the ideal choice for a well-defined user profile:
- Students and Professionals who need a fast machine to work with spreadsheets, browse with many tabs open, and perform multiple tasks without lag.
- Casual Users who enjoy playing lighter games and do not mind the maximum image quality.
However, it is not recommended for image professionals (photographers and designers), who need a screen with accurate colors, nor for those who need a long-lasting battery to work far from an outlet.
