The Investment Promotion Agency for Trade in Minas Gerais recently announced that the state could receive over R$ 136 billion in investments. The agency highlights that more than 225 companies from 16 distinct nationalities are distributed across nearly 30 different economic sectors, including: mining, industry, beverages, e-commerce, solar energy, and others. The State Has Several Distribution Centers
The OVD Group, which operates in the hardware, tools, accessories, electrical and hydraulic materials market, as well as equipment for civil construction and industry, will install the company’s first distribution center in Minas Gerais. The municipality chosen by the company to host the project was Betim, in the metropolitan region. The project will receive an investment of R$ 24 million, and the initial forecast is that at least 25 new jobs will be created at the unit, which is already in the implementation phase.
Infracommerce, the company responsible for the e-commerce operations of giants like Nike, Ambev, Unilever, Motorola, Ray-Ban, and other national and international brands has just begun operations in Extrema, in Southern Minas Gerais. The inauguration of the distribution center (DC) will generate around 300 direct jobs, which could exceed 500 during the commercial event Black Friday.

The investment for the implementation of the project is over R$ 25 billion, and it is promised that 10,000 direct jobs will be generated.
The officialization of the construction of a new electric vehicle industry for public transportation by Bravo Motors Company represents a historic milestone in the economic transformation, not only of the city and the state of Minas Gerais but also of the country. The new unit, in addition to generating new jobs, will manufacture electric cars, cells and battery packs, energy storage systems, among other equipment used in shared transportation. The project will be the first of its kind in Latin America.
Factories Are Being Built in Minas Gerais
Construction of the new Heineken factory in Pedro Leopoldo, in the state of Minas Gerais, is entering a new phase with many job opportunities available. The company Tucumann Engenharia, based in Curitiba, which will execute the works, has already made openings available for earthworks and drainage activities on the site. With investments of R$ 1.8 billion, the project will be the first Heineken factory fully built in Brazil.
CCPR – Central Cooperative of Rural Producers will invest R$ 132 million in the construction project of a factory for the production of nutritional solutions (animal feed and mineral supplements) in Curvelo, Central Region of Minas Gerais. The company already has an industrial unit in Contagem, in the Metropolitan Region of BH.
Cristália, a pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical-chemical, and biotechnology laboratory with 100% national capital, has just announced plans to acquire another industrial plant to expand its capacity to produce medications. The business group purchased the property where the Santanense textile factory used to operate, in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais. The investment forecast at the site is approximately R$ 300 million, and around 700 new jobs may be created.
