Free Technical Courses: Different Modalities for Each Profile
IFRS offers more than 3,600 places in free technical courses, catering to everyone from those completing elementary school to adults who have not finished high school. The modalities include:
- Integrated with High School: the student takes high school and technical education together.
- Concurrent: attends high school at another school and technical education at IFRS.
- Subsequent: for those who have already completed high school.
- Adult Education (EJA): geared towards those over 18 who have not completed high school.

Selection Process and Quotas
The selection can be done by exam, public draw, or Enem score (editions from 2020 onwards). In addition, more than 80% of the places follow the quota policy, prioritizing students from public schools, low-income individuals, candidates with disabilities, and self-declared black, brown, indigenous, or quilombola individuals, according to federal law.
