Those who wish to start the year with a new profession or improve their skills should pay attention, as the Technical School Support Foundation (Faetec), from the Government of Rio de Janeiro, has 11 thousand openings for free professional qualification courses for the first semester of 2025. Registrations for Faetec Courses Have Been Open Since January 13

The selection process for openings in free courses at Faetec will be conducted through an electronic lottery, and registrations are open until January 26, exclusively on the official website of the institution. The Faetec courses, as mentioned above, cover areas such as IT, beauty, maintenance services, performing arts, and others. Among the available Faetec courses are Computer Operator, English, Theater Initiation, among others.

To register, interested candidates must be at least 14 years old and meet the specific educational requirements for each course. Each participant can choose up to four free courses at Faetec in a single registration. After submission, it will not be possible to change or add new courses. Details about the courses and available units can be found in the announcement published on Faetec’s website.

The openings in free courses at Faetec last for 20 weeks, and classes will begin next February. The lottery results will be announced on January 28. According to the Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Anderson Moraes, Faetec plays an essential role in training qualified labor, and the open registrations represent a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their employability and expand their knowledge.

The Technical School Support Foundation, linked to the Secretary of Science, Technology, and Innovation, has been providing public and free Professional Education and Technology since 1997 and is present in all regions of the State of Rio de Janeiro, betting on the economic potential of the Fluminense municipalities.

In total, 51 cities benefit from the Foundation through opportunities in various teaching segments. The FAETEC network offers the population free courses, technical courses, graduate and postgraduate programs to students admitted through announcements. Its teachers have extensive qualifications, including specialists, masters, doctors, and post-doctors in their network.
