With The Construction of New Facilities at The Eugênio de Melo Factory, 600 Job Openings Were Created
Embraer announced this Monday, August 19, during the 50th anniversary celebration of the company, an investment of US$ 30 million in the expansion of the Eugênio de Melo unit in São José dos Campos, which immediately generated 600 new job openings for the construction of new facilities. With an investment of approximately R$ 150 million, the site will have the capacity for 4,000 workers, nearly three times more than the current 1,500 workers.

Four new buildings will be constructed, one of which will become the global engineering and technology center of the company, and another will be dedicated to customer service and training, housing flight simulators and other technologies to provide technical procedure instruction to the company’s aircraft operators.
The project also includes a building for administrative areas and a historical center dedicated to the 50 years of Embraer and advancements in the national aviation industry.
Embraer is also making improvements and expansions to the existing facilities, such as the restaurant, entrances, bus platforms, and parking.
The completion of the construction is expected in the last quarter of this year and will increase the built and leisure area from the current 70,000 square meters to 110,000.
The unit is located on a 530,000 square meter plot of land and began operations in 2001.
With the expansion, the Eugênio de Melo unit also transforms into a global engineering and technology center for Embraer, for the development of sophisticated projects and solutions that are increasingly relevant in the defense and security sector, urban air mobility, aerospace, among other technology-based businesses.
