Beyond Rocket Development: Mac Jee Revolutionizes with Dagger Kit to Increase Accuracy of MK-82 Bombs

According to the website Terra, Brazil is about to take a big step in aerospace sector with the development of a innovative rocket, the result of a partnership between Mac Jee and the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). This ambitious project aims to launch the aerospace rocket that will carry the 14-X hypersonic vehicle to the atmosphere, marking a significant advance for the national industry.

The innovative project: aerospace rocket and hypersonic vehicle

The collaboration between Mac Jee and the FAB aims to develop an aerospace rocket capable of reaching an altitude of 30 kilometers and reaching impressive speeds of up to 10.720 km/h, equivalent to Mach 10. This rocket will serve as a launch vehicle for the 14-X, a hypersonic vehicle that relies on a scramjet engine for its activation. The takeoff process will be carried out using the “Rocket Assisted Take Off” (MOUSE), ensuring that the vehicle reaches the minimum speed required for autonomous operation.

“This project is a milestone for the Brazilian Air Force and the national aerospace industry. The technologies developed will strengthen our capabilities and reduce technological dependence on foreign countries“, says Danilo Miranda, Engineering Director at Mac Jee.

Mac Jee is preparing for a significant increase in its infrastructure, including the arrival of new rocket engines and the expansion of chemical and propulsive laboratories. More than 500 professionals will be involved in all stages of the project, from technical detailing to the final launch, scheduled for the end of 2027 at the Alcântara Space Center, in Maranhão.

Innovations in weaponry: Dagger Kit for Bombs

In addition to developing the aerospace rocket, Mac Jee is also innovating in the field of weapons with the Dagger Guide Kit. This kit is designed for pumps general purpose (GP) like MK-82, known as “dumb bombs" due to its low accuracy. The Dagger, when attached to the bomb, significantly increases accuracy, reducing collateral damage and improving mission effectiveness.

Therefore, Brazil is making significant advances in aerospace and weapons technology with the help of Mac Jee and the Brazilian Air Force. The aerospace rocket that will be launched in 2027 promises to put the country in a new position on the global stage, while the Dagger kit promises to transform precision in bomb use. Both projects highlight Brazil's commitment to innovation and technological leadership.
