Sales of Voltz Electric Motorcycles Are Made Exclusively Through Digital Channels
The electric motorcycle manufacturer is based in the state of Pernambuco and currently has 30 showrooms throughout Brazil. The company offers the EVS motorcycle and the EV1 scooter, which are currently assembled in a factory in Cabo de Santo Agostinho (PE) with parts imported from China.
The sales of Voltz are made exclusively through digital channels, where the consumer selects the product with the needed configurations, makes the payment, and receives the motorcycle at home.
The Brazilian company offers electric motorcycles in more powerful versions, such as the EV1 scooter, which reaches 180 km of range and a maximum speed of 75 km/h. The EVS motorcycle, on the other hand, reaches up to 120 km/h at its peak speed and also has 180 km of range.
It’s worth noting that the batteries of Voltz’s electric motorcycles are portable and can be charged at any outlet. A full battery charge typically takes up to 5 hours.
After Volkswagen, Ford, Chevrolet, and Fiat, the Multinational Yamaha Suspends Motorcycle Production in Its Factories and Puts Employees on Collective Vacation
After Ford’s exit from Brazil, the global supply crisis and the pandemic caused numerous automobile factories, such as Chevrolet, Honda, Audi (Volkswagen), Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Nissan, and Fiat to suspend vehicle production. This also affected Yamaha, and the automotive industry in the country could face collapse.
Yamaha decided to suspend activities in some of its motorcycle production lines from May 3 to 12 due to the adverse situation in the supply chain, resulting from the supply crisis caused by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, aiming to adjust the flow of input reception.
With the measure adopted by the company, employees belonging to the lines affected by the stoppage will be on collective vacation.
Not Only Yamaha, but Its Competitor Honda Also Suspended Motorcycle Manufacturing
According to the company, the production of outboard motors, as well as other operational activities of Yamaha Motor da Amazônia, Yamaha Motor Components da Amazônia, and Yamaha Logistics will remain in full operation during this period.
Moto Honda da Amazônia also reported a temporary halt in its production line at the beginning of the year. The activities were also suspended at that time due to the impacts of COVID-19 on the supply chains, which generated unavailability of inputs for production.
