IFSC, recognized for its excellence in technical and higher education, has just announced Public Notice 12/2024, offering 392 remaining places in undergraduate courses for enrollment still this year.
The places are distributed across different campuses throughout the state of Santa Catarina, and the selection will be carried out without the need for exams or entrance tests.
According to the Institute itself, the selection process will be based solely on the analysis of candidates’ academic records, making this an unmissable opportunity for those looking to embark on a new academic journey.
Available Courses and Places
The institution offers places in various fields, from engineering to multimedia production, covering both daytime and evening periods.
According to IFSC, the campuses in Chapecó, Florianópolis, Gaspar, Itajaí, Jaraguá do Sul, Palhoça, and São José are among those offering these opportunities.
Some of the available courses include:
- Control and Automation Engineering: 36 places (Chapecó)
- Mechanical Manufacturing: 28 places (Chapecó)
- Civil Engineering: 3 places (Florianópolis)
- Systems Analysis and Development: 3 places (Gaspar)

These are just a few of the options offered. IFSC is known for its variety of courses and the quality of education, aimed at training qualified professionals for the job market.
How to Enroll?
Enrollment for these places is open until tomorrow, August 30, 2024, through the IFSC Admission System.
The best part is that there is no application fee, making access even easier for all interested parties. After enrollment, candidates must submit the required documentation by September 2, 2024.
Selection Criteria
The selection process will be based on three main criteria, all related to high school grades:
- Grades from the last year of high school.
- High school certification grades from ENEM (editions from 2009 to 2016).
- High school certification grades from Encceja (editions from 2017 to 2023).
Candidates will be evaluated based on the final grades in Portuguese Language and Mathematics, with a specialized committee from IFSC conducting the analysis and scoring of the presented grades.
With this initiative, IFSC facilitates access to higher education, providing a unique opportunity for those seeking a quality education without the stress of exams. But be careful: the deadline is almost up, and this chance could be the gateway to a promising future.
What do you think about selection processes that do not require exams or ENEM scores? Do you consider it a fair way to gain admission compared to traditional entrance exams? Leave your opinion in the comments!
