Courses Offered
Specializations will be available in the areas of literacy and mathematics, covering different stages of elementary education:
Literacy – 1st and 2nd Year of Elementary Education
This course aims to assist trainers in implementing practices that promote full literacy for all children, in accordance with the MEC’s National Commitment to Literacy for Children, using the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) as a reference, which dictates that all children should be literate by the end of the 2nd year of elementary education.
Literacy – 3rd to 5th Year
Focusing on consolidating literacy, this course aims to broaden the knowledge of education professionals to work on the recovery of learning from the 3rd to the 5th year.
Mathematics – Initial and Final Years
With the aim of improving performance indices in mathematics in Brazilian schools, this course proposes to address the urgent need to tackle the challenges in teaching the subject, teaching participants to implement innovative training practices that promote meaningful learning and better student performance in mathematics.
Training Details
The specializations will be conducted synchronously, including two in-person meetings, focusing on innovative training practices.
Participants who complete the course successfully will receive a Specialist Certificate for Trainer Formation, specifying the completed area.
At the end of the specialization, it will be necessary to present a descriptive report of the training carried out.

In addition to the aforementioned specializations, the MEC will offer nine specializations for teachers in the Adolescence Schools program, with 12,640 slots.
Among them, the Specialization Focused on Adolescence and Equity stands out, with 4,000 slots, aimed at all states and municipalities that have adhered to this policy, and eight specializations for each curricular component, with 8,640 slots directed at teachers of the final years of elementary education.
Another new feature is the Specialization in Teaching in Early Childhood Education, created to address specific issues of this educational stage.

5,500 slots will be available, coordinated by the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, in partnership with universities from all regions of the country.
More Teachers for Brazil Program
Established by Decree No. 12,358/2025, the More Teachers for Brazil program recognizes the central role of educators in the student learning process and the success of educational policies.
The initiative aims to strengthen teacher training, encourage the entry of teachers into public education, and value teaching professionals by providing them with resources and opportunities for continuous professional development.
The program includes, in addition to the Training Portal, initiatives such as Savings for Licenses, More Teachers Scholarship, National Teacher Exam, and valuation actions in partnership with public banks and other ministries, aiming to serve 2.3 million teachers across the country.
How to Participate
The technicians indicated by the interested education secretaries to participate in the specializations should follow the guidelines provided by the MEC and register according to the established procedures.
It is essential that candidates meet the prerequisites for each course and are committed to applying the training in their respective territories.
