The University of Brasília Is Offering Free Spots for Master’s and Doctorate Programs in Strategic Areas of Brazilian Education, with Research Lines Focused on Diversity, Technology, Public Policies, and Inclusion. Learn How to Participate Before the Deadline Ends.

The University of Brasília (UnB) is open for applications for those who wish to enroll in free master’s and doctorate programs in Education.

In total, there are 33 spots for the master’s program and 40 for the doctorate, across various nationally recognized research lines.

The selection process is an excellent opportunity for those seeking high-level academic qualification at one of the most respected public institutions in the country.

The programs are completely free, and classes are offered by the Faculty of Education at UnB, located at the Darcy Ribeiro Campus in Brasília.

The selection includes six distinct research lines, ranging from public policies to educational technologies, aiming to promote the development of knowledge on urgent and contemporary themes.

Research Lines Address Current Demands of Brazilian Education

The Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) at UnB offers a wide range of study areas. The available research lines are:

Public Policies and Educational Management (POGE)

Investigates the impacts of educational policies on educational institutions, as well as school management in various contexts.

Education and Diversity in Childhood, Youth, and Adulthood (EDIJA)

Addressees educational experiences at different stages of life, emphasizing inclusion and respect for diversity.

Pedagogy, Teacher Training, Curriculum, and Assessment (PDCA)

These research lines reflect the main social and educational demands of contemporary Brazil, offering investigation paths aligned with public policies, diversity, and innovation.

Applications Are Open Until May and Require Attention to the Details of the Notice

Applications for the selection process are already open and can be made until 10 PM on May 7, 2025.

Candidates must read the complete notice before applying.

The document is available on the SIGAA portal of UnB, at the link: https://sigaa.unb.br/sigaa/public/home.jsf.
The application fee is R$ 200, for both the master’s and doctorate programs.

It is important to highlight that the courses themselves are free, meaning there are no monthly or annual fees, just the initial selection cost.

To compete for a master’s spot, it is necessary to have completed an undergraduate degree in a program recognized by MEC.

For the doctorate, the candidate must present a recognized master’s degree diploma, with completion by the date of confirmation of interest in the spot.
