Free In-Person Course in Pirituba
The lato sensu postgraduate program is offered at Campus São Paulo Pirituba, located at Av. Mutinga, 951, with in-person meetings scheduled for the evening.
The notice states that there are no fees for registration or tuition, maintaining the principle of free education as a rule of the Federal Network.
For 2026, the selection process has been formalized by Notice DRG/PTB No. 43/2025.
Who Can Apply
Professionals with a bachelor’s degree recognized by MEC may apply.
At the time of enrollment, the registered diploma will be required, or in its absence, a certificate of completion issued by the originating institution.
The specialization is multidisciplinary and accepts candidates from different fields of study, provided the educational requirement is met.
How Selection Will Be Conducted
The classification considers only the Overall Score of the ANPAD Test, a standardized exam that evaluates four areas: Portuguese Language, English Language, Logical-Mathematical Reasoning, and Analytical Reasoning.
The Overall Score corresponds to the arithmetic average of the scores from the four sections of the test.
The certificate with the score will be made available to the participant after the official publication of the exam results.
According to the campus notice, the selection is in a single stage, with no exam administered by IFSP or interview.
The document also establishes affirmative action policies for the distribution of spots and details the criteria for elimination and tiebreaking.
For the 2026 class, there are 29 spots for general competition, 8 for self-declared black, brown, or indigenous candidates, 1 for quilombola candidates, and 2 for persons with disabilities.
ANPAD Test: What It Is and How to Use the Result
The ANPAD Test is applied nationally and used by graduate institutions as a selection tool.
The scores in the four areas are estimated using Item Response Theory (IRT) methodology, converted to the ANPAD Test scale by area, and aggregated to form the Overall Score, the metric used in IFSP Pirituba’s classification.
The official website provides a description of the proficiency scale and guidance on interpretation by postgraduate programs.
According to the guidelines for the public, the Overall Score can be used differently by each institution — for example, as a minimum cutoff, as a ranking, or combined with other criteria.
In the case of IFSP Pirituba in 2026, the classification is exclusively based on the score from the ANPAD Test, as stipulated in the campus notice.
Results Schedule and Class Start
According to the schedule of the selection process, IFSP results are expected to be published in December 2025, with preliminary and final announcements on the campus website.
The document also indicates the start of classes for the first semester of 2026, with a calendar to be confirmed by the course coordination.
The central campus of IFSP emphasizes the registration deadline until December 7, 2025 and the 40 available spots for Pirituba.
Affirmative Actions and Spot Distribution
The spot policy follows IFSP guidelines for general competition and reserves for PPI, persons with disabilities, and quilombolas.
The distribution planned for 2026 ensures representation of these groups in the postgraduate program and is applied at the time of classification based on the ANPAD Test score, according to the local notice rules.
Required Documents
The candidate must prove completion of their undergraduate degree through a diploma recognized by MEC.
Alternatively, a statement or certificate of completion valid until the date of enrollment will be accepted, according to the notice.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to monitor official publications on the campus website and to meet documentation submission deadlines when called.
Fees and Free Access
The course is entirely free, with no registration or tuition fees.
However, participation in the ANPAD Test is subject to a registration fee charged by the organization responsible for the exam, with the possibility of exemption according to the test’s own rules.
The issuance of the results certificate follows the ANPAD calendar.
Where Classes Are Held
In-person activities take place at Campus São Paulo Pirituba, in São Paulo (SP).
The address provided by the institution is Av. Mutinga, 951, with classes in the evening.
The details regarding days of the week, hourly load per meeting, and academic calendar will be confirmed by the coordination after the results are announced.
Registrations: Deadlines and Steps
The process requires two independent actions.
First, it is necessary to take the ANPAD Test in an edition valid for the notice.
Subsequently, the candidate must register for the selection process at IFSP Pirituba, providing the Overall Score from the exam.
For this selection, the registration period runs from August 1 to December 7, 2025, exclusively through the electronic form indicated by the institution.
The final classification will adhere to the descending order of the scores on the ANPAD Test, applying the spot reservations and tiebreak criteria outlined in the notice.
