Faetec – Foundation for Technical School Support opened registrations on January 10 for 30,000 slots in over 50 free professional training courses in the fields of Maintenance, Industry, Technology, Education, Languages, and Culture. Classes will take place at various units in Rio de Janeiro. See below how to secure your spot!

The selection process will be conducted through a draw, held on February 2. The names of the selected candidates will be published on the same day. After that, candidates will have from February 3 to 8 to complete their registrations. Classes will begin on February 14.

The classes will last from 10 to 20 weeks. To apply, candidates must be at least 15 to 18 years old, according to the requirements of each course. The required educational background and completion deadline will also depend on the chosen qualification.

Courses Offered

The highlight is on the free courses offered in the cultural area, such as music, and the return of distance learning (EAD).

Most FAETEC units will offer free courses in Hairdressing, Manicure and Pedicure, Massage Therapy, Makeup, Bartending, Kitchen Assistant, Snack Maker, Pastry Chef, and Baker.

In the Tourism field, the free courses offered will be Tourist Information Agent and Sports Tourism Guide. In Technology, the classes will cover Computer Operator, Advanced Excel, and Introduction to Robotics.

In the Maintenance and Industry sector, candidates will be trained in free courses for Building Electricity, Boilermaking, Industrial Plumbing, and Welding. In the administrative area, classes will be offered in Administrative Assistant, Spanish, English, and French, among others.
