What Is the Purpose of Faetec’s Free Courses and How Do They Work
The courses at Faetec aim to train professionals prepared for the job market, offering everything from basic education to higher education in strategic areas.
The majority of spots are concentrated in technical courses, which include in-person activities in classrooms and laboratories, objective tests, and practical assessments.
Additionally, the institution relies on methodologies that combine theoretical classes, seminars, forums, and specific assessments, ensuring comprehensive training for students.
Offered Technical and Higher Education Courses
The list is extensive and includes various knowledge areas. Among the technical courses, there are options in Administration, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Clinical Analysis, Mechanics, Logistics, and Fashion Production.
At the State Technical School of Theater Martins Pena, the highlight is the Dramatic Arts course, while the Marechal Hermes School of Musical Arts offers spots for Music, requiring practical skills in string, wind, or keyboard instruments.
In higher education, courses in Pedagogy and Technology in Internet Systems, Management Processes, Logistics, Environmental Management, Systems Analysis and Development, and Port Management are available.
Spots and Locations Offered
Of the total 7,714 spots, most are concentrated in technical training, with 6,354 opportunities. Among them, 2,175 are for the integrated high school modality, while 4,114 are intended for candidates who have already completed or are taking at least the second year of high school.
In higher education, there are 613 spots, distributed across colleges and institutes located in cities such as Barra Mansa, Campos dos Goytacazes, Paracambi, Três Rios, Duque de Caxias, and Santo Antônio de Pádua. For early childhood and elementary education, there are 706 spots, spread across CAP-Isepam, CAP-Iserj, Antônio Sarlo Agricultural School, and Casa da Criança, in Rio de Janeiro.
Scholarship at Le Cordon Bleu
One of the most attractive points of the announcement is the offer of 34 full scholarships for the Diplôme CordonTec, in partnership with Le Cordon Bleu. The course is an international reference in culinary training and can open doors in the high-end market.
The selection process includes an objective test, submission of a video demonstrating affinity with the area, and an in-person interview with evaluators.
How the Selection Will Be
The selection process varies depending on the course. In early childhood and elementary education, some spots will be filled by a drawing from the Federal Lottery, while others will require tests in Portuguese and Mathematics.
For technical and higher education courses, selection occurs through objective tests, with registration fees ranging from R$ 20 to R$ 58, depending on the modality. For specific areas, such as theater and music, there will be Specific Skill Tests (THE), evaluating interpretation, body expression, and instrumental practice.
Faetec also adopts inclusion policies, reserving spots for affirmative actions, which increases access possibilities for different student profiles.
Requirements to Participate
Candidates must meet basic educational criteria: completed elementary school for subsequent technical courses, enrolled in at least the 2nd year of high school for concomitant courses, and completed high school for higher education.
In some cases, a practical skills test is required. To register, candidates must present an official identification document and CPF.
Those opting for online courses or those requiring complementary activities need to have access to the internet and a computer.
