Marina Velikova, Director of Solutions at Barona’s Global Talent Solutions, reports that last year, the Barona recruited over 700 professionals from outside Finland and hints that the company is looking for more specialists in technical support, systems architects, Java application programmers, installers, and IT development managers, SAP consultants, data engineers, cooks, industrial painters, food process operators, production workers among others. “We provide support in the immigration and relocation process for hired candidates, and in some projects, even language training to assist them in settling here in the country.”

Sanna Marttinen, Executive Director of Tulanet, represents the new Post-doctoral Program for Research Institutes. “Our role is to coordinate cooperation among 11 Finnish government research institutes, and we are very excited about the government’s significant investment in research and development (R&D),” Marttinen declares. The program, which will be funded by the government’s multi-annual R&D plan, aims to recruit 85 new post-doctoral researchers between 2025 and 2028, with salaries around 4,000 euros.
