The Sergio Arouca National School of Public Health (ENSP/Fiocruz) has opened the selection for the 2026 class of the Specialization Course in Public Health, which will have 33 spots, 690 hours of coursework, and an in-person selection process.
Applications will be open until September 26, 2025, at 4 PM.
The selection will take place in two phases: written exam on October 31, 2025 and curriculum analysis and interview in January 2026.

Who Can Participate
The course is intended for professionals graduated in health or related areas.
According to ENSP, alternate candidates may also be selected in case of withdrawals.
The notice does not establish the obligation to fill all spots.
Spots and Quotas
Of the 33 available spots, three are for foreigners.
Another ten are reserved for affirmative actions: seven for black and brown individuals, two for people with disabilities, and one for indigenous people.
The remaining 20 spots are for open competition. Candidates who opt for the quota system participate, at the same time, in the competition for general spots, according to their ranking in the selection process.
Selection Process
The first stage will be a written in-person exam, scheduled for October 31, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM.
The results will be announced on December 8, 2025, with a deadline for appeals on December 8 and 9.
Subsequently, the approved candidates will undergo curriculum analysis and interview, scheduled for January 21 to 30, 2026.
For quota candidates, there will be a validation stage, with scheduling announced on January 12, analysis between January 21 and 23, results on January 27, and a deadline for appeals on January 27 and 28.
The final result will be published on February 12, 2026.
The enrollment will take place from February 23 to 26, 2026, with a call for alternates on February 27 and a deadline for enrollment of alternates on March 2 and 3, 2026.

Structure and Schedule
The course has a total workload of 690 hours, with 576 hours dedicated to Learning Units and 114 hours for the Final Paper (TCC).
Classes will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays, full-time, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
The schedule provides for the start of activities on March 9, 2026, and ends on December 15, 2026.
The final deadline for submission and defense of the TCC is until April 30, 2027.
Objectives and Coordination
ENSP explains that the specialization aims to foster a critical and comprehensive perspective on the health scenario in Brazil, articulating it with the political and social context, always in defense of the SUS and the universal right to health.
The course is coordinated by Célia Regina de Andrade, with Karla Meneses da Costa and Lenir Nascimento da Silva as assistant coordinators.
