Top-of-the-Line SUV Went Out of Production in 2021, But Remains a Highlight in the Used Market Due to Price and Mechanical Set

The Hyundai Creta Prestige 2.0 Automatic stopped being produced in 2021 but caught attention again in 2025. According to the Mundo do Automóvel portal, the top-of-the-line version reappeared in used car ads with prices up to R$ 20,000 below the Fipe Table, becoming one of the most interesting opportunities among mid-sized semi-new SUVs.

In addition to its competitive price, the model has established itself as the best configuration ever launched of the Creta, combining a powerful engine, reliable transmission, and a full equipment package, something that reinforces its appeal in the market even four years after going out of production.

What Made the Creta Prestige 2.0 Stand Out

The Hyundai Creta Prestige 2.0 Automatic 2021 made history by offering a differentiated set within the lineup.

Powered by a 2.0 flex engine with up to 166 hp and a six-speed automatic transmission with torque converter, the SUV delivered performance above the average of the category, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and a top speed of 188 km/h.

While urban fuel consumption is only average — 6.9 km/l on ethanol and 10 km/l on gasoline — the model compensated with a total range that could reach 627 km on highways.

For many drivers, this combination of power, reliability, and interior space remains competitive against newer rivals.

Dimensions, Interior Space, and Trunk

In terms of dimensions, the Creta Prestige is 4.29 meters long, 1.78 m wide, and has a wheelbase of 2.59 m, which guarantees good interior space for five occupants.

The 431-liter trunk enhances practicality for families, while the 55-liter tank helps extend range on trips.

This balance of dimensions has made the version ideal for those seeking an urban SUV with road capabilities, without sacrificing comfort.

Full Equipment Package

The Hyundai Creta Prestige 2.0 Automatic came loaded with equipment: six airbags, traction and stability controls, hill start assist, parking sensors, rearview camera, keyless entry, and leather seats with ventilation.

The SUV offered a multimedia center with integrated GPS, smartphone mirroring, and even wireless charging — features that are still not standard in direct competitors today.

This technological set means that the model is still remembered as one of the most complete in its category.

Current Price and Market Opportunities

According to a survey by Mundo do Automóvel, the Fipe Table for September 2025 indicates an average price of R$ 101,181 for the 2021 Creta Prestige 2.0 AT.

However, on classified platforms, it is possible to find well-maintained units starting at R$ 80,000, a value that increases the model’s attractiveness.

With this difference of up to R$ 20,000 below the Fipe, the SUV becomes an option for those who want a robust, well-equipped car with a guarantee of reliability without needing to invest in more expensive and less complete new models.

Even out of production, the Hyundai Creta Prestige 2.0 Automatic remains a benchmark among compact-mid SUVs, uniting performance, comfort, and competitive pricing in the used market.

For many experts, this was the most balanced and interesting version ever produced of the model.

And you, do you believe it is still worth investing in the Creta Prestige even with four years of discontinuation? Or do you prefer to bet on newer SUVs, even paying more? Share your opinion in the comments — your experience can help other readers decide.
