Ford Returns with a Social and Technological Focus
Ford announced the Ford < Enter > program in Bahia, a project aimed at training people for the technology market with an emphasis on employability.
In partnership with SENAI CIMATEC and other institutions, the program offers free front-end programming courses without requiring prior knowledge.
Additionally, it includes benefits such as stipends for transportation and food, pedagogical support, social assistance, and a diploma recognized by SENAI.
According to Pamela Paiffer, Director of Communication and Social Responsibility at Ford South America, the program reflects the company’s commitment to community development:
“This program gives participants the opportunity to build a qualified career, develop their potential, and achieve a better life through education.”
Learning Path and Focus on Employability
The training, which will have its first class in January 2025, includes a comprehensive path of technical and behavioral training.
Highlights include classes in technical English, logic, socio-emotional skills, and lectures on technology innovations.
The course lasts 300 hours and will be held in two locations in Salvador: CIMATEC Piatã and CIMATEC Digital, in Pelourinho.
The choice of Pelourinho as the venue for one of the classes was strategic. The campus, which is part of the Salvador of the Future Program, aims to boost the region’s creative and technological economy, attracting startups and innovative companies.
Another distinguishing feature of the project is the active referral to the job market, with support in interview preparation and the development of behavioral skills.
“Our methodology combines technical and socio-emotional training, allowing participants to be genuinely ready for the market’s challenges,” says Leone Andrade, General Director of SENAI CIMATEC.
Expansion and Regional Impact
The Ford < Enter > program is not new: it was initially launched in 2022 in São Paulo and soon achieved impressive numbers.
There were over 9,000 applicants for 200 spots, with students hired even before completing their training.
The success inspired expansion to other states and countries in South America, such as Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Colombia.
In Bahia, Ford plans to serve 300 students throughout 2025. The first class will have 50 participants, and registration is already open.
Eligible participants are youth aged 16 and older, with ongoing or completed high school education and a family income of up to four minimum wages.

The initiative arises in a context of high demand for qualified professionals. It is estimated that by 2025, Brazil will face a deficit of over 500,000 professionals in technology.
At the same time, there is a large population without access to quality education.

The relevance of this program also extends to economic impact.
With Ford’s Development and Technology Center in Bahia, the region becomes a technological hub, employing over 1,500 specialists who develop global functionalities for the brand’s vehicles.

The success of Ford < Enter > depends on solid partnerships. SENAI CIMATEC leads technical training, while Rede Cidadã is responsible for recruiting students and preparing their socio-emotional skills.
