The Electric Car Manufacturer Fisker Said It Will Work With Apple Supplier Foxconn to Produce More Than 250,000 Vehicles Per Year
Fisker, an electric car manufacturer, informed the market that it will produce more than 250,000 vehicles per year and will work with Apple supplier Foxconn. According to the company, the deal, codenamed “Project PEAR” (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution), will start at the end of 2023 and will increase its shares by 18%. The company aims for global markets, including North America, Europe, China, and India.

In 2020, Apple’s main iPhone manufacturer, Foxconn, increased its interest in electric vehicles (EVs), announcing agreements with Chinese electric car manufacturer Byton and automakers Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and the Fiat Chrysler unit of Stellantis NV.
According to President Liu Young-way, Foxconn aims to supply components or services for 10% of the world’s EVs by 2025 to 2027.

Fisker’s CEO, Henrik Fisker, hopes to finalize the deal in the second quarter, lasting about seven years. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. Fisker has not yet specified where the vehicle will be built by Foxconn.
Fisker stated that the new vehicle would be “futuristic” and “something completely different,” along with being “affordable.” It will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2023 and is one of four vehicles Fisker previously mentioned it would release in 2025.
Tesla leads the EV market, which has grown significantly. The luxury electric car manufacturer Lucid Motors recently announced its plans to go public by merging with a blank-check company.
