The company has an ongoing revitalization project for the Marlim Field, which will be supported by the Japanese company’s FPSO.
The final commissioning operations for the Anita Garibaldi vessel will take place at a shipyard in the state of Espírito Santo.
According to MODEC, the FPSO left the DSIC Marine Yard shipyard in Dalian, China, embarking for Brazil on October 6 of last year.
It has an impressive processing capacity of 80,000 barrels of crude oil and 7 million cubic meters of gas per day.
Thus, the MODEC vessel will be essential for Petrobras’s pre-salt project in the Campos Basin, with a planned completion for 2026.
There will be 43 pre-salt wells connected to the FPSO platform. It is the second component of the revitalization project, joining Anna Nery, which is expected to begin production in 2023.
Petrobras will use both to replace nine platforms currently in operation in the Marlim and Voador fields (P-18, P-19, P-20, P-26, P-32, P-33, P-35, P-37, and P-47).
With the arrival of the FPSO Anita Garibaldi from MODEC, Petrobras is taking another step toward advancements in its pre-salt revitalization project.
