Enrollment Open for 1,736 Slots in Technical Courses at the Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano. The Selection Process Offers Opportunities in Seven Cities and Different Modalities, with Classes Starting in 2026

Enrollment is open for the 2026 selection process of the Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano (IFSertãoPE), which offers 1,736 slots in technical courses at the Federal Institute distributed across seven campuses: Floresta, Ouricuri, Petrolina, Petrolina Rural Area, Salgueiro, Santa Maria da Boa Vista, and Serra Talhada. The opportunities cover the modalities of Integrated with High School, Proeja, and Subsequent (Post-High School).

Interested candidates can register until September 17 on the official IFSertãoPE website. The slots for technical courses at the Federal Institute are divided between 1,064 for Integrated High School, with an average duration of three years, and 672 for the Subsequent modality, aimed at those who have already completed high school, with an average duration of two years.

Who Can Participate and How Selection Will Be Made

According to IFSertãoPE, the selection process varies depending on the chosen modality. For integrated technical courses with high school, the classification will be conducted by analyzing school records, considering the final averages of Portuguese and Mathematics in the 7th and 8th grades of Elementary School (or equivalent grades).

For subsequent technical courses, the filling of slots will be done by electronic drawing. In this case, candidates drawn will be accepted up to the limit of slots for each campus, course, and shift.

Available Locations and Modalities

The opportunities cover seven units of IFSertãoPE: Floresta, Ouricuri, Petrolina, Petrolina Rural Area, Salgueiro, Santa Maria da Boa Vista, and Serra Talhada. The offered modalities are:

Integrated with High School – aimed at those who wish to complete high school alongside technical training.
Proeja – intended for young people and adults who did not complete high school at the regular age.
Subsequent (Post-High School) – for those who have already completed high school and want additional technical training.

This diversity of modalities increases access and allows candidates of different profiles to enroll in technical courses at the Federal Institute.

Important Dates and Results Announcement

The final result will be announced on December 22, 2025. Enrollment is expected for January 2026.
