Natural Gas Thermal Power Projects Rank Third Among Energy Sources, Accounting for Almost 30% of Generation Capacity.
Just as the ANP auction held yesterday in Rio de Janeiro was a success, the Ministry of Mines and Energy expects the same for the A-6 Energy Auction, scheduled to begin generation in 2025, set for next Friday (10/18). Petrobras and Equinor Confirm Investments Focused on Natural Gas Thermal Generation Projects.
The auction will take place next Friday (10/18) and will feature 1,541 registered projects; see below the ranking by energy source and installed capacity.
The 1,541 eligible projects have a total installed capacity of 71,385 megawatts (MW), which corresponds to 42.5% of the currently installed capacity of the entire Brazilian generation park.
The competition for energy generation is led by wind power, followed by solar and natural gas thermal power plants; here are the numbers:

Government unlocks R$ 554 million for a highway that has been requested for decades and accelerates the duplication of BR.
-
Without bricks, without cement, and without endless construction: the cardboard house that is assembled in modules and can be moved.
-
Billions of barrels on the equatorial margin could lead Amapá to double its oil production in Brazil — the state aims to enter the route of companies in the Campos Basin, attract investments, and boost jobs and businesses in the oil and gas sector.
