Understand How a Solid Waste Recycling Plant Works
This type of plant operates based on the transition of collected solid waste. Generally, these materials include paper, plastics, aluminum, glass, among others. The plant transforms what is considered trash into raw materials that can be used in the production of various new products, which will be marketed and distributed to society, becoming part of a cycle.
The operation of a solid waste recycling plant begins with the reception of the materials to be recycled. These materials are usually collected by waste pickers or even by specialized companies in the sector. After being received, the materials undergo a separation process according to the type of waste that composes them.
After separation, the materials are compressed and finally directed or sold to different companies that operate in various sectors and need the materials for the manufacturing of their products. However, several recyclable products are unfortunately removed from the sorting process due to excessive dirt, the presence of organic waste, and others. For the entire process to function correctly, greater awareness from the population regarding the proper separation of their waste is necessary.
