The company’s story began outside the digital world in 2011, through Disk Cook. A menu guide with a call center where customers called to place their orders. The idea for iFood emerged there, aiming to further enhance the customer experience.

It didn’t take long for the company to get off the ground and arrive in Brazil. By 2012, its app and website were launched. The passion for food and technology quickly attracted important investors, such as Grupo Movile, which currently holds a 100% stake in its business.
The mergers with other companies made iFood grow rapidly. In 2015, iFood reached its first million orders. In 2016, this number nearly tripled. To meet the new needs arising from the increase in customers, additional services were created beyond food delivery.
