GD Forum Centro Oeste Will Take Place at the Convention Center in Goiânia on August 9-10
The 20th edition of the Regional Forum on Distributed Generation in the Centro Oeste region (GD Forum Centro-Oeste) is already scheduled. The event is confirmed for August 9 and 10, at the Convention Center in Goiânia, Goiás, and aims to bring together the entire production chain in search of knowledge and opportunities in the market for this type of energy generation.
It is worth noting that the event takes place against a backdrop of significant growth in distributed generation in the country. In July, the sector reached a mark of 23 MW of installed capacity, with Mato Grosso, Goiás, and Mato Grosso do Sul among the top 10 states in this type of generation. Thus, discussing opportunities, bottlenecks, and technological visions in the Centro-Oeste region has become important to maintain the good numbers, as, alongside the significant growth, there are also doubts to be addressed by professionals working in the sector.
The GD Forum, in turn, aims to address this purpose. Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation (ABGD), and organized by Grupo FRG Mídias & Eventos, the 20th GD Forum Centro Oeste intends to gather key players, industry experts, and representatives from academia over the two days of the event to facilitate discussions on the main challenges and opportunities in the sector across the four states.

The Numbers of GD in the Centro-Oeste Region
And speaking of capacity, we cannot fail to mention that the 20th GD Forum chose the capital of Goiás to host its attractions due to its high potential in this type of energy.
The latest survey published by ePowerBay, for instance, reveals that the city was among the highest producers of clean energy from distributed generation in July, ranking eighth in municipal production. The numbers further reveal that the region has over 21,000 consumer units, as well as 177.9 kW of installed capacity.
The state of Goiás, in turn, ranks seventh in the state ranking, with 1 MW of installed capacity. The Centro-Oeste region is responsible for 3.5 MW of installed capacity involving clean energy sources.
