“Petrolina is 750 km from Recife. It would be difficult for gas to reach Petrolina if it weren't for the structure for transporting LNG and regasification that we are going to implement with Copergás. The gas that will arrive in Petrolina will supply industries, commerce, CNG stations and homes”, informed the vice-president of Golar, Marcelo Rodrigues.
In Petrolina, Copergás will build a 40 km long gas pipeline to distribute gas. This unit will be ready to receive a volume of 40 m³ of natural gas per day, which will be transported in ISO-containers supplied by the LNG Terminal at the Port of Suape.
Golar Power projects in the Brazilian Northeast

Golar Power also has projects so that the imported LNG is destined to serve free gas consumers, such as large companies, and to the Bahia state natural gas distributor, And thermoelectric projects and other gas distributors.
