The Financing Will Serve for Farmers to Invest in a New Electrical System, Where They Will Rely on Solar Energy and Biogas, Without Additional Interest Rates
The Government of the State of Paraná, along with the Department of Agriculture and Supply and the Rural Development Institute-Iapar-Emater (IDR-Paraná), developed the Paraná Renewable Rural Energy Program (RenovaPR). The main objective of this program from the Government of Paraná is to assist the farmers of the state with issues related to the competitiveness of their businesses through the availability of energy from renewable sources, such as solar energy and biogas.

Benefit of the Solar Energy and Biogas Credit Line for Farmers
With the facilitated credit conditions, farmers will also benefit from a 60% discount on the Night Rural Tariff, a discount offered by the Government of Paraná to farmers registered in the program.
The reduction in the cost of electricity applies to the hours between 9:30 PM and 6:00 AM. The program will end at the end of 2022. Having a considerable reduction in electricity rates is significant for farmers, as crops such as broiler chickens and aquaculture consume a lot of energy, from facilities, slaughter, and processing.
Using farms as an example, the cost of electricity is very high, which can exceed 50% of total energy usage. That is why the use of solar photovoltaic energy is an ideal escape route to reduce costs and increase productivity in the field.
How to Obtain the Financing?
Farmers can request financing through financial institutions that have an agreement with Fomento Paraná. When contracting projects, it is important that the service is provided by companies that are registered in the program, such as Enerluz.
The managing partner and electrical engineer of Enerluz, Renan Temp, states that the entire registration process was completed in July and always seeks to establish quality criteria for the companies participating in RenovaPR.
Renan stated that to participate in RenovaPR, the company had to prove that it had operated for several years in the installation of photovoltaic systems in the region, as well as prove its experience in this type of service, with the aim of preventing unnecessary hiring.
Enerluz was the first company to install solar energy systems in the far West of the state of Paraná. In 2014, the company installed and approved a photovoltaic system at its headquarters, located in Foz do Iguaçu. Enerluz has more than 30 years in the market, operating in the fields of electrical engineering, electrical materials, and automation.
