The selection process offers a total of 20,020 vacancies, of which 12,550 are available through the traditional entrance exam (in-person and EAD) and 7,470 through the Provão Paulista. The free courses are distributed across 82 units throughout the state of São Paulo, with 96 different options in various technology areas.

Applications for the free undergraduate courses must be made exclusively online through the official FATEC website until June 6, 2025, at 3 PM.
It is possible to choose one main course option and a second option in any unit. The basic requirement to participate is to have completed or be attending high school, with proof required at enrollment. The schedule for the free undergraduate courses is as follows:
- Exam date: June 29, 2025 (duration of 5 hours);
- Results announcement: July 14 (starting at 3 PM);
- Enrollment for the first call: July 15 to 17.
