The Federal University of Maringá Has Thousands of Openings in Various Free Courses. There Are Two Entrance Exams for Free Online Graduation with Certification, check it out!
The Central Commission of the Unified Entrance Exam (CVU) of the State University of Maringá (UEM) recently announced the registration period for the Online Entrance Exam and for the Winter 2024 Entrance Exam, which aim to make thousands of openings available in free graduation courses.
How Many Openings for Free Online Graduation Are Available?
The Winter 2024 Entrance Exam of the Federal University of Maringá offers 1,108 openings in more than 70 free courses, while the free online graduation entrance exam offers 755 openings in courses such as Biological Sciences, Physics, History, Literature, Portuguese/English, and Pedagogy, distributed across the 21 campuses of the institution.
The announcement of the approved registrations for the free online graduation entrance exam will be published on June 11, and the exam locations will be announced starting June 14, with the exams taking place at the Federal University on July 14.

Candidates approved in the Online Entrance Exam will enter the institution still this year, while those approved in the Winter Entrance Exam will start only in 2025. Among the free winter courses are:

Find Out How to Register and Compete for Free Courses at the Federal University of Maringá
For both free online graduation entrance exams, registrations will be carried out exclusively online or through the UEM Entrance Exam app, from May 2 to June 5. For registrations in free courses to be approved, payment of the corresponding fee must be made by June 7.
The registration fee is R$ 185. It is worth mentioning that the Federal University maintains the new rules adopted a year ago for the Winter Entrance Exam registrations, such as the option for each candidate to register for three different courses, which do not have to be from the same area. Thus, the exam no longer includes questions on Specific Knowledge.
According to Leandro Vanalli, rector of UEM, this free online graduation is another opportunity for students from the region, from all of Paraná and all over Brazil to enter the Federal University.
The set of changes led to an increase in enrollment in the initial series of the institution’s courses, a achievement that was approved by the Teaching, Research, and Extension Council (CEP). A reduction in absenteeism was also observed. The expectation is that in the entrance exam for free winter courses and online education these numbers will be even more positive.
Advantages of the New Approach of the Federal University of Maringá
According to Márcia do Nascimento Brito, general coordinator of the CVU, since last year the exam is the same for all registered candidates, except in the foreign language section, where the candidate can choose between Spanish, French, or English.
During the registration process, the candidate will have options for desired courses following a preference order, among the courses listed in the opening announcement of the Entrance Exam Entrance Exam. The main goal of these changes was to provide greater access for candidates to the free online graduation courses at UEM.
